Overview:
Quantum Coast Capital is on the lookout for an ambitious Associate to play a pivotal role in our investment endeavors within the quantum computing startup ecosystem. This position is crucial for conducting in-depth market analyses, executing thorough due diligence processes, and providing unwavering support to our portfolio companies as they strive to reach their strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a distinctive mix of technical knowledge, market insights, and sharp investment skills, contributing significantly to our ongoing mission to foster seminal breakthroughs in quantum technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and source promising startups in the quantum computing space, leveraging both direct outreach and existing networks.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including financial modeling, market analysis, and technical assessment of quantum technologies.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of investment recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Work closely with portfolio companies, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their strategic objectives.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in quantum computing, venture capital, and the broader technology landscape.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields, with a strong preference for candidates with exposure to quantum computing or related technologies.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, or a startup environment. Prior experience in or a demonstrated passion for quantum technology and its applications is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a proven track record of success in a team-oriented environment.
  • Characteristics: High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Passionate about technology and innovation, with a curiosity to learn and explore new areas.
